Pay It Forward For Autism
PIFFA -- Fun Camp
In 2009, we marked the fifth year for Fun Camp! In those years, over 150 kids with autism and their siblings have been able to have a quality day camp experience. We’ve have made ‘chia’ pets, designed T-shirts and decorated tote bags in art sessions. We’ve practiced turn-taking and sharing through playing games. In our sport activities, we’ve cheered for our team mates and learned to do our best. Through music, we learned another way to communicate with each other. In between all this fun, we’ve had visitors to our camp – the Lego Lady and Elk Grove Fire Department have joined in our fun!

Fun Camp is only possible through the dedication of our dozens of volunteers. College and high school students, teachers and therapists who donate their time and talent to the Camp have made an incredible difference in the lives of our campers. Many of these individuals have come back to help each summer.

We also thank the businesses and individuals who have generously donated supplies and/or funds to help offset the operating cost of Fun Camp. We encourage everyone to patronize these businesses as a thank you to them for their continued help and support.
